Benjamin Brodkey is a musician and Jewish educator based in Des Moines, Iowa. After growing up and teaching religious school classes in Omaha, NE, Benjamin attended Drake University. Equipped with a music degree, coursework in music education, religion, and non-profit management, he now serves the Jewish community through his role as the Assistant Director of Education and Programming at the Jewish Federation of Greater Des Moines. In this role, he teaches in the community religious school and preschool and directs Engman Camp Shalom. Additionally, he coordinates Partnership2Gether programming, connecting his community with other Jewish communities across the United States, Hungary, and Israel. When not at work, Benjamin enjoys singing, hiking, reading, and watching Seinfeld reruns.
