Framed in a Superhero, supernatural, or fantasy motif, the Strange Tales from the Torah curriculum deals with actual Torah texts, linked in theme or motif to culturally relevant modalities. The methodology, best for middle school students, includes the use of videos, interactive materials, visual examination of the texts, manipulative activities, and creative writing/graphics. Despite the playful presentation, the material is pedagogically sound and results in increased interest in looking more closely at the Hebrew texts, exploring Torah tales often overlooked, and recognizing the Torah as a text worthy of further study.

Come learn about the nuts and bolts of running successful yearly community service and fundraising programs for tweens and teens. Attendees will receive electronic materials to replicate each program in their community, as well as accesss to personal support from Cantor Devorah.
-7 small & 1 large community service projects will be presented..
-2 small & 1 large fundraiser will be presented.
