This workshop is intended for teachers who teach pre-school and the early grades. The goal is to teach Hebrew and Shabbat in an intensive and fun way that makes an impact on their Jewish identity. In this session, we will share the methodology that we use at Congregation B’nai Israel in Milburn, New Jersey. You will learn how to teach Shabbat and Hebrew songs by creating games, puzzles and crafts. We will share how we set tasks for the children in the classroom and how to use Hebrew name tags, a shabbat kit and Tzedakah box to reinforce their learning.
