This session weaves together pedagogies from empathy education, assertiveness training, non-violent communication, and movement therapy and brings them into dialogue with inter-personal Jewish ethics. It explores the ideas of "personal space," saying "yes" and saying "no," power dynamics, and consensual play. The essential question it explores is - how do you help students balance the need to respect one another's boundaries with their desires for play, physical connection, and spontaneity?
