This workshop will provide an overview of how Facing History’s Jewish Education Team can support you in exploring important questions raised when teaching the Holocaust. How can we construct learning environments where students feel they belong and develop the tools to engage in civil discourse around difficult topics? What practices can effectively address how legacies of injustice impact our schools, our choices as educators, and the learning objectives for our students? We will deal with topics such as civil discourse and how to engage in challenging conversations. You will learn more about Facing History pedagogy and educational resources that relate directly to your educational context.
