Breaking the Negative Loop: Healthy Ways to Interact with Students, Parents and Colleagues Who Push our Buttons

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

We all have students and colleagues with whom we too quickly lose patience-- that student whose behavior you struggle to look past, that colleague or parent you hide from when they appear. We build on these emotions, creating a loop of negativity. Breaking those negative feelings can craft a healthier work (and life) environment, and the way we look at those who will challenge us in the future. This session will offer you tools which will spark a mindset shift, helping you find your “nekudat or,” your points of light, using problem solving and open communication to spark that positive energy you need to create caring and supporting relationships going forward.
