Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Grandparents can make any intergenerational family experience stronger. They bring wisdom, unconditional love for their grandchildren, and the gift of time. Terry Kaye invites directors of family engagement, educators, clergy, and anyone who works with families to discuss the ways grandparents can enrich your educational programs.

We will explore the essential roles grandparents play; the benefits of intergenerational and “skip-gen” (grandparents only, no parents) programs; and challenging family dynamics to be aware of when planning intergenerational programs. Together we will do an activity that weaves in telling family stories
through treasured objects.

You will learn key principles for creating your own intergenerational programs and will take home sample program guides.
