Power Up Hebrew Teaching with Sound-to-Print

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

In this session, you will learn about Sound-to-Print. It is a method of teaching Hebrew reading based on research on learning to read that posits that students need to know the sounds of a language prior to successfully tackling print.
Whether you are working with a full class, small group, or one-on-one, you can use Sound-to-Print (S2P) teaching to improve student confidence and competence in decoding Hebrew! We will explore the research upon which S2P is based, as well as games and activities that can be immediately (and easily) be used with learners and with any textbook or siddur. This method especially (but not solely) complements the #OnwardHebrew approach. Teachers will walk away with new ideas. Directors/supervisors will have a ready-made workshop to take home.
