Two Haftorot, Two Isaiahs

While the psychological aspects of Bar/Bat Mitzvah are central to the experience - learning the difficult hebrew words and the trope, and "performing" in public - it's also vitally important to teach the powerful messages and poetry of these passages. We will focus on two haftarot: for Parshat Noach and Parshat Yitro. Why might these have been chosen? What are the links between the Torah reading and the Haftarot? And why do they reflect two entirely different historical circumstances, a century and a half apart.
