In this workshop, teachers will learn how to create effective, engaging activities that furnish a full view of students’ understanding and knowledge of the content. Giving students an opportunity to “show what they know” in creative and authentic expressions of learning and allowing a wide range of intelligences to be expressed, provides a more comprehensive view of the students’ understanding of the material. It also gives them the chance to exercise critical thinking skills and aid them in application of the content. Additionally, because they provide an enjoyable means for conveying information, students will have positive associations with their Jewish education and retain information.
