Big Idea Activation: Making Learning Dynamic and Meaningful

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Every lesson has an essential, enduring understanding or big idea that we want our students to truly internalize. How do we get them to connect to and feel the lesson’s main idea in a deep and relevant way? In this collaborative workshop, we will explore Big Idea Activation, an approach that identifies important questions and themes of the Torah stories, prayers, holidays, etc. and matches them with experiential activities that promote student inquiry and discussion. Participants will acquire tools and ideas for creating exciting experiential lessons that make learning more meaningful.
