Matching Jewish stories to Jewish values: an interactive exercise

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Using story to teach Jewish values is a long rabbinical tradition. Stories serve as the teacher. In this class, we will explore the world of Jewish values as portrayed in story throughout the ages. Using a set of 34 Jewish values from a variety of sources and matching them with stories taken from a variety of Jewish texts, we will dive into the themes of community, hospitality, peace, humility, justice, and Tikkun Olam, among others. Utilizing different teaching styles, we will demonstrate ways to reach the different learning styles of our students.
