The Jewish Music of Leonard Bernstein

Though best known for his secular music (such as "West Side Story") Leonard Bernstein was deeply attached to his Jewish heritage and dealt with specifically Jewish themes in his compositions. In this session we will listen to excerpts from a number of his works and discuss how he utilized specific concepts in his usic.
