Join a panel discussion with independent Jewish educators Debbi Ballard, Abby Eisenberg, Carla Friend, Debbie Jaffe, and Beverly Socher-Lerner. Learn about each of these passionate Jewish educators' initiatives, as well as their successes and challenges. How do their initiatives differ (and how are they similar) to synagogue and other programs? Can independent Jewish education and synagogue-based education initiatives collaborate in some ways? How can different kinds of Jewish education settings learn from each other and offer deeply meaningful and rich Jewish experiences?

Join Paula Hoffman, Tamar Andrews and Allison Charapp as we discuss and explore the current Jewish teacher shortage in early childhood education along with the impact of public schools offering preschool programs as this impacts enrollment in our Jewish ECCs.  We will also chat about the values and challenges of current educational approaches in ECE.

Join a dialogue between Rabbi Jennifer Ossakow Goldsmith and Debbie Niederman focusing on the research done by the Jewish Education Project of Jewish supplementary schools in America. This report reveals new census data showing significant changes and presents deep insights and opportunities to move the field on an exciting path forward. This session will include an overview of the national data. Jennifer was in charge of this research, and Debbie will probe her about the conclusions. You will have an opportunity to ask questions and to respond from your experience in the field.
